Aviom Adds C4DIO Digital I/O Card To Module Options For AllFrame

LAS VEGAS, JUNE 13, 2012—Aviom, the exclusive developer of the world's most powerful audio transport protocol, A-Net®, will be introducing the C4dio Digital I/O Card for the AllFrame Multi-Modular I/O System at InfoComm 2012, Booth 10146, Hall C. In addition, the company will also be showing the new SK6 Stage Kit for the AllFrame F6 Modular I/O Frame.

aviom_allframe_sk6-stage-kit.jpgThe SK6 Stage Kit provides an enclosure for the AllFrame to be used as a stage box in live applications or in installations that may utilize one or more AllFrames as portable units in order to change their setup configurations with ease. Such installations have RJ45 jacks that are tied into the system and are available at multiple locations so that setup can be changed to accommodate different types and sized events. The AllFrame unit is simply moved to the appropriate location and plugged in—truly plug and play.

The AllFrame Multi-Modular I/O System brings the flexibility of the company's powerful Pro64® audio network to the wall box and stage box. While the AllFrame is ideal for permanent installations such as houses of worship, theaters, schools and conference centers, with the SK6 it is also a perfect solution for touring and portable live sound applications. For both installations as well as on the road, the AllFrame Multi-Modular I/O system eliminates several expensive and labor-intensive stages of the signal chain while reducing cable clutter and enhancing flexibility.

At the center of the AllFrame Multi-Modular I/O System is the F6 Modular I/O Frame, a multi-purpose network frame with six field-configurable I/O card slots and integrated Cat-5e and fiber optic connectivity. The F6 can be outfitted to meet the audio I/O requirements of nearly any application with C4m Mic/Line Input Cards and C4o Output Cards or the new C4dio Digital I/O Cards.

aviom_allframe_c4dio.jpgThe C4dio Digital I/O Card is a 4x4 AES3 I/O card with BNC Word Clock Out, In, and In with Termination options. With this card, users have even more connectivity options and flexibility in terms of designing signal flow for these modular systems. Installing six of these cards in an F6 Modular I/O Frame allows it to be configured as a 24x24 I/O device, with each XLR connector on the C4dio carrying a pair of digital channels, providing high channel count I/O in a minimal amount of physical space. Optional sample rate converters can be turned on per input pair from within the Pro64 Network Managerâ„¢ software to allow devices with digital outputs, but without Word Clock connections, to be used as input sources.

The F6 can be powered in multiple ways, including a four-pin XLR connector, a Euroblock connector or one of the Cat-5 A-Net ports. Installations that use Power Over A-Net must use the new Aviom-approved POA80. Aviom recently updated this product to offer superior protection against voltage surges and to deliver enhanced flexibility for users.

The SK6 Stage Kit is now shipping and the C4dio Digital I/O Card will be available later this summer.
