Currently touring Italy promoting her latest album “Narrow,” Soap&Skin was immediately fascinated by the sound and performance of the Austrian-based manufacturer and its 65-year reputation of quality after her first listen. With her diverse abilities, performing multiple acts on tour – solo, with a string ensemble and a choir – it was important the diverse music was properly miked for the perfect sound.

Soap&Skin currently utilizes AKG’s D5 and D7 dynamic microphones for vocals, a combination of C414 and C411 microphones on piano and vast number of C519 clip-on microphones for her ensemble.

“AKG is extremely pleased to cooperate with young, outstanding talents. As an Austria-based company, we are particularly proud of Soap&Skin,” stated AKG CEO Jürgen Bopst. “By signing Soap&Skin, AKG adds another talent from the alternative music community to our very diverse family of musicians. This partnership is inspired by artistic innovation on the highest international level and begins to shine the light on numerous opportunities AKG has in the upcoming months dealing with musicians out of the mainstream!”

“We’ve provided Anja with the ideal set of vocal and instrumental microphones that will deliver a crystal clear, undistorted sound to make her voice and music even more impressive on the ear,” added Walter Rührig, head of artist and key customer relations, AKG.
