More than 500 people attended the high profile event which took place at the Hilton Park Lane Hotel, London, UK on October 9, 2009. The Imaging or Editing Product of the Year category was sponsored by the UK's Broadcast Video Expo.
For the award, the panel of judges noted:
7thSense takes the gong for its Delta Media Server for the simple reason that it has ‘steadily grown its market, and Delta's capabilities, to make it a force in a worldwide a-v market.'
The Delta Media Server is a hardware and software combination that can output high quality uncompressed media onto any display surface – including multiple flat panels, curved screens and full domes. It can play out mixed media including images, live captured HD video and high resolution movies in real time and it can be either pre-programmed or used interactively at an event. Facilities available within the device include comprehensive display matching; bezel management, edge blending, warping and large-screen image manipulation. Delta can also handle both active and passive stereo for use in 3D theatres and theme parks, and has a full dome mode to provide easy integration of mixed media onto dome projection. The features of the system are usually customised to meet customers' precise needs by adding appropriate storage and input cards, this can include multiple HD video capture, multiple graphics outputs and any size movie formats up to 4k. Delta is a flexible, graphically intuitive environment in which movies, text, live images, audio and effects can be mixed on the same time line in addition to remote live preview, an interactive sequence manager and full external control via RS232 and Telnet.

In addition to receiving this award, several partners were also recognised. Digital Projection's innovative XTP-HD-300 custom built, IP65 rated projector was recognised as Digital Signage Product of the Year in its use within London Underground, a project in which 7thSense's warping and media server technology is integrated to the digital signage infrastructure to geometrically warp the projected images, matching the curved underground tunnel walls.
