Medialon Good Bet For New Crown Macau Hotel

Medialon Manager has stepped into the spotlight at the new Crown Macau Hotel where it will control the running and scheduling of an outdoor multi layer LED video show and receive jackpot signals from gaming systems so clips of lucky customers may be played back.

The Crown Macau is a six-star casino/hotel complex on Macau’s Cotai Strip, dubbed the “Las Vegas of Asia.” Catering to the VIP patron, the Crown Macau opened its first rooms in May with the rest opening at the end of July. The casino/hotel was built by James Packer, Australia’s richest man, and features more than 200 tables and 1,300 slot machines.

Medialon Manager was selected by integrator PCCW-HKT Technical Services Limited as the central control unit to control and synchronize the audio video matrix, video playback, lighting system, three-layer LED display system, and the water-feature system for the impressive multimedia show.

Medialon Manager’s timeline synchronization offers a unique interface for programming synchronized shows and features a timeline metaphor for positioning cues. The cues are played back accurately with reference to internal or external sync sources. The timeline overview makes changes in the show programming very visual and allows fast, easy, and accurate changes.

Medialon Manager’s time base task is used to control the running of the show; step base tasks are created to control the schedule and to interrupt the show to display exciting jackpot messages. The system’s position tracking is another key feature. If a device is controlled by a timeline, it can be locked to that timeline. Moving back and forth in the timeline during rehearsals will relocate devices to their correct positions at that given time.

In addition, the embedded GUI programming tool has been designed to allow fast and easy programming of the control panel and touchscreen inside the software itself.
