LTI Illuminates Eiffel Tower

Eighty xenon lamps from California’s Lighting Technologies International (LTI) were used to light the Eiffel Tower to commemorate Fête de l’Europe, or Europe Day. Vivid shades of blue shined upon the Tower this past May, marking the day in 1950 that began the creation of what is now known as the European Union.

French company Sky Light lit the four sides of the Eiffel Tower with 72 of LTI’s Helios™ xenon lamps and illuminated the internal base of the tower using eight 4000W LTI xenon lamps. The result was that the normally brown iron structure was transformed into a brilliant shade of blue, a difficult task due to the large size and shape of the Tower.
