LED Jack O' Lantern Overlooks Vancouver

Vancouver's Olympic stadium, BC Place, was quite festive this Halloween with an LED Jack O' Lantern display. Creative designer Stefan Zubovic wanted to create a display on the stadium that uses both the structure of the roof and the 1,700 LED programmable lights that wrap around the stadium. Zubovic collaborated with BC Place Stadium staff and Vancouver-based lighting firm EOS Lightmedia, the original programmers of the lights, to bring his vision to life.

The BC Place lighting design by C.M. Kling + Associates features over 1,700 Lumenfacade Color Changing LED luminaires, almost 300 Lumenbeam Large Color Changing 50W luminaires, and over 70 Lumenbeam LBX Color Changing luminaires, all supplied by Lumenpulse and controlled by a Pharos LPC X controller. EOS Lightmedia handled the control system design and programming of the overall LED display, while Zubovic designed and programmed the festive Jack O' Lantern display.
