Alicia Keyes Accompanies First Ever Empire State Building Light Show

Last night New York's Empire State Building showed off its new Philips Color Kinetics custom LED tower lighting system with a concert by Alicia Keyes. The show was broadcast in collaboration with Clear Channel Media and Entertainment and marked the official unveiling of the new lighting system.

The dynamic system features a palette of over 16 million colors that can be programmed in limitless combinations, as well as effects previously not possible on the Empire State Building such as ripples, cross-fades, sparkles, chasers, sweeps, strobes, and bursts.

Last night's show also included six Green Hippo Hippotizer HDs driving 11,500 pixel-mapped DMX channels and ran from two MA Lighting grandMA 2 consoles.
